Moscow

As soon as I landed on Russian soil…it was drama all the way. I thought I was in a getaway car on the way from the airport to the historical magnificent hotel near Red Square where I was staying. Red Square itself is dramatic, intriguing and intimidating. In fact slightly scary with specific tourist police and confusing with all the christmas decorations…My second visit, to play my pipes accompanied by The Moscow and District guys was terrific, they wanted me to succeed and that optimism surrounded me like a blanket. We didn’t stop there though we marched into the main shopping area and made crazy fun music together, seemingly enjoyed by the crowd that gathered. Finally to witness the Russian love of ballet at the famous Bolshoi Theatre is a dramatic scene in itself and a wonderful unforgettable memory..
