…50 days from the start of The Challenge and here I am home and dry on my finale day! The first piper to play across 7 continents in one trip -a huge undertaking and not without risk, but I did it ‘loud and proud’. All 12 iconic locations around the world and across 7 continents successfully achieved, culminating in playing my pipes on HMS Belfast on the River Thames. I was thankful for a dry day, although cold, but I so appreciated my family, friends and the press turning out to support me and celebrate this incredible mission. This was a personal, solo, self-funded challenge that I totally planned and organised myself to raise funds and increase awareness for The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity and Julia’s House, two charities close to my heart. I am grateful to everyone who followed me, but there is still work to be done, please make a donation, no matter how small and help make this truly enormous effort worthwhile – http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/bagpipetheworld.
